Working with a personal trainer is completely different
Just take it one day at a time. Star Being are there to help you and push you when you need them. They are motivators and exceptional coaches and always have your best interests at the center of what they do – if they think you can achieve more, a goal-setting blueprint will be set up and put in place for you and they can literally show you clearly how to achieve those goals.
They also remind you a lot about good habits, lifestyles, and strategies on how to maintain the basics such as training consistency, around a busy lifestyle, and rotating into different training styles while always challenging the body. Definitely be prepared to work hard, but as with myself, the results will absolutely follow (and quickly) if you are prepared to put the effort in and remain consistent with the programme.
What have you achieved?

Increased muscle mass and better bulk, more overall muscular development i.e better shape in places like my shoulders, back, arms and a more developed abs region – the level and rate of physical changes is like a total body upgrade to the results you get used to.
A massive insight and education into weight-training the right way and also how to apply different training for different work and life situations that I can rely-on and use in the long term. I also learnt a lot nutritionally for the different training cycles and jobs roles I may have on during the year too. It was a very comprehensive fitness and training journey also a fun experience!
You enjoyed weight training?

I did personal training sessions 3 x per week where possible and then supplemented this with a couple of days at the gym on my own. The training you receive is incredible – they push you hard. You arrive full of energy and leave drained – but that’s exactly what you want – they always get the best out of you. The gym and training is also very different to a traditional gym where you have stand-alone machines and can perform circuits and general sets on them.
Before Star Being I mostly used machines at the gym for some time which took me to an ok place in fitness and muscle. I later learned (although quite good and easy to hop on at the gym) machines can only take you so far – and when Star Being introduced free-weights and strength training – within weeks this took my results to the next level, I felt good and could see myself getting in to better shape by the week.

I really enjoyed free-weights training and the different machines explored. This programme but within the first 4-weeks it was a total crash course on what they call ‘foundation lifts’ and key strength moves and areas of training I should be focusing on for my goals. Deadlifts and rows were brand new to me as was the bench press and according to Star Being all my initial conditioning and machine work really helped me transition to strength more fluidly. The variety has one of the biggest impact and you are always sore for days following a workout – I wouldn’t work this hard on my own.
Personal training vs the gym?

Completely different. You can do it on your own for so long, but you are not sure if A. You are doing things correctly and B. If you are getting the most out of your time. Before this programme I found my self hitting a plateau often and I do put a good amount of time into my health and fitness so of course I want to optimise it. Training at a gym versus even 1 or 2 sessions per week is night and day.
The variety of training they do and the support, and the enthusiasm you receive can’t really be compared, so I would recommend anyone to contact them and just go for it. It’s also a lot of fun, there are many levels and different milestones to achieve in your program. I have good mentors and coaches around me for different aspects of my career and Star Being is no different. There is always great teamwork and they bespoke every part of the program to your lifestyle so you can progress at your own pace – although they will push you within reason.


What’s next for you?
I have been training with Star Being for around 6-months now. After my 12-week program, I felt the training became a more integral part of my lifestyle and also provides me with a boost and extra focus. I have got to an amazing level of physical excellence with Star Being and felt like I have achieved a lot. We have now mapped out how to continue to increase mass while getting leaner without making any massive changes.
This is something that I appreciated – they work with you month to month to give you the best advice at the time. My nutrition during my programme has always been really good. One of the secondary goals now is to add more variety of food groups but continue to eat clean and attain healthy power foods.
