 I lost over 4 stone! 

I couldn’t of have ever imagined I would get results like these!! 

How did your journey begin?

I enquired at Star Being initially to get help with becoming healthier and fitter as my main goal, and also if losing some weight was possible that would have been a bonus too. The service they have given me has been second-to-none. They have completely supported me and motivated me through-out this journey, I just couldn’t have done it without them. I couldn’t of have imagined to getting where I am now, sometimes I literally don’t recognise myself and I would say it’s all down to the help and support from Star Being. 

 

I lost just over 4-stone in total – mind-blowing. This was in-addition to all the new muscle mass I gained too, so overall, you can imagine I’m extremely pleased with the result! My body and health transformation was incredible – i’m strong now – they taught me how to lift weights, and now I can actually go into the gym and lift weights comfortably by myself, I don’t feel intimidated perhaps like before I just feel strong and really enjoy it all more than ever now.

What do you think the key to your success was?

Keeping things simple really worked for me, like food! I thought the diet side of the programme could have become complicated (I guess you don’t know what to expect) i.e an expectation to be cooking certain types of meals that can be time consuming – but it was the total opposite. I was surprised with all the simple and creative meal options they provided me tailored around my routine plus extra options for things like eating out or swapping/ introducing other ways of healthy eating anytime – it’s all become a big part of my everyday life now, but in hein-sight, I would say because they made it super easy to do, this I felt made a major impact in helping me through this journey.

Why did you choose Star Being?

I liked their tailored-made approach, this was something that was pivotal for me in how and who I was going to spend time with on this journey and the value I received thereafter I don’t think you can measure. They are very interactive and very personable from the off –  I wasn’t seeing this elsewhere. The private gym was great too – the training was always very focused yet comfortable – this environment allowed me to become comfortable with learning the ropes and improving strength in my own time.

How much support did you recieve from the team?

Unlimited support, and as mentioned before this was one of the biggest and most unexpected parts of the service that actually got me through it. Naturally, being somebody who was new to lifting weights at that time, I had a bunch of questions (and worries) about certain techniques/ exercises – so to know I could always tap into their expertise anytime was a blessing; not to mention the motivation they provided too by always checking I was going to the gym and keeping-up my healthy eating.

You mentioned that you enjoyed weight training?

Definitely, I really got into the swing of it. Week-by-week I could see myself getting stronger; which was new for me! So this pushed me to keep challenging myself with new machines and bigger weights at the gym until I could row and lift almost my body-weight on some exercises. My push strength hugely improved too – one of my goals by the end of the programme was to be able to do even 1-good push-up; needless to say there were days in personal training where we would knock out a quick 30 which spurred me on as to how I was progressing; pull-ups on the other hand, I’m currently working on, but I’m very confident I will get there in no time too.

What’s next?

A lot, this is just the beginning of my health and fitness journey. I’m going to take my weight-training much further and continue to build on-top of these good habits and my new routine. I want to progress my weight-training a bit further and keep toning and building muscle. I also want to set myself some new fitness goals – one of the things they taught me was to always have something in your diary like a wedding/social event or a fitness challenge, it can definitely help you focus on your goals and tighten things up when you need to.

The second would be to keep-up with the clean eating and generally healthy lifestyle but to also experiment with food and find new ways to add taste. I’m not really into cheat-meals per-say, but I like the option of having options when eating out so understanding how to maximise nutritional value and living comfortably and ‘not being on a diet’ is going to work well for me!

Any final thoughts and insights?

I think you will be surprised with what you can achieve if you just follow the advice given and try your best, I really wanted this, it was important to me to fix things and it paid off. I think finding good people who will support you and be there in the good moments and bad is important, it’s definitely not been easy, but obviously totality worth it. Getting that experience and level of help all-in, in my eyes is a recipe for success, so yes, give it your all and enjoy it!
